170- Entrepreneur lessons learned — feedback before product launch

Struggling Biz

In this episode of The Struggling Biz show, we deliver a repurposed episode from another podcast for business, The Podcast Reporter Show, which deals with the topic of “Lessons learned — using good preparation for launching your product with focus groups and feedback.”

The repurposed episode # 607 of the mentioned podcast show delivers real-life case study and examples of how I did not use both focus groups and feedback by survey results in the planning of my show prior to its launch (since I was promoting and selling a needed product at that time). Here is the podcast badge for that show of the repurposed episode:

I consider this case study and examples used as LESSONS LEARNED from an entrepreneur in the initial, current and final preparation of a product, which can be useful for a targeted audience (in this case, it was podcasters, entrepreneurs, small business owners and new media managers who needed a personal productivity system tailored for their needs).

The product was called Gain Control of Your Day, and it had a great reception when I presented it in the podosphere and at business shows at launch time.

Now, you will hear in this included audio episode how I lunged forward into the planning, marketing and sales promotion of my product without really doing justice to a fair and thorough pre-launch focus group evaluation, as well as truly well-done surveys and other feedback mechanisms to know that my chances for success in the marketplace would be realistic.

As I mentioned, you can hear this in the second part of the podcast show episode itself (repurposed from the original episode of PodcastReporter.com). And we hope that you can benefit from these lessons learned from my own experience, so that you can avoid the errors that I made when I was substituting energy, drive, euphoria in the podosphere and excitement of launching a product instead of cold and calculating review of feedback from tactics like focus groups, and from feedback like surveys.

Thank you for your attention.
