181- Entrepreneurs should assess and commit and achieve

Struggling Biz

In this episode of The Struggling Biz Podcast Show, we focus around the areas for small business owners of having self-discipline, planning and execution of tasks that will lead us to successful entrepreneurship. These are usually dealt with in the topic of unmet or missed expectations.

The 3 focus areas are:

  • assess;
  • commit;
  • achieve.

These are three key ideas that are discussed in plenty by Todd Henry (a podcaster and author of The Accidental Creative) in a recent podcast episode on his show, The Accidental Creative.

With the examples and methodologies mentioned by Todd, you can minimize the potential missed opportunities that sometimes may be right in front of you, but perhaps you had not perceived them.

What Todd describes to us are elements and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and creative professionals that can help us to plan and then execute projects for success.

For myself, these appear to be essentials of good project planning and resource management. And I have seen these three ideas before stated in good time-management courses. In fact, by other names, they were also included in my prior personal productivity courses that I have taught in the past.

I myself included them in the project-management methodology, as well as task-management methodologies and the planning methodologies of the course that I have taught before, which as called Gain Control of your Day. The latter course was also a podcast show for personal productivity from 2005 to 2015, and the course materials were developed and licensed from the firm called Q4 Systems, Inc.

Yes, this course found great success in both the inbound classes that I used to teach in person while I was employed within corporate America. It also showed great progress and feedback from those who took the podcast course, Gain Control of Your Day (now podfaded, due to updated apps).

But in the episode dealing with assessment, commitment and achievement, the spin is for both creative individuals and podcasters, as well as for entrepreneurs, startups and small business owners.

Thus, I highly recommend a modern-day approach to these ideas from Todd Henry from his podcast show, The Accidental Creative.

I suggest that you may find some valuable gems in the examples that he cites, as well as his ideas on HOW to accomplish in general the 3 phases of his suggestions. And with those in your mind, you may stumble across the serendipity that may add to your success for your own business.

Thank you for your attention, and we shall see you next time.
