This is a repurposed episode. Originally posted in the now-podfaded podcast of The Struggling Entrepreneur, it has been updated to reflect the beginnings of Ray Ortega, podcaster for both The Podcasters Studio and Podcasting Quick Tips. He also has a show called Podcasters Roundtable, which he publishes on YouTube, as well as an audio podcast show.

Ray is fortunate because his day job is full-time podcasting. And his passion is also podcasting, but he does this as a side-project with different shows and episodes.

And today, Ray is one of the best-known podcast consultants and podcasters, with a huge audience — he describes himself as a professional podcast producer. He does a lot of video and has video podcasts, as well as YouTube content (such as Podcasters Roundtable). And it seems that his field of podcast production is leading him into becoming an entrepreneur or startup business.

For the past decade, Ray has been a speaker and panelist in the large podcast conferences, such as New Media Expo (NMX) and Podcast Movement, just to name a few.

One other fortunate situation for Ray is that he is being asked to do more consultation and training, and so he has a chance to decide when and what to monetize, and at what pace. For now, Ray is a professional podcast producer, and you can learn more about him from his web site at: rayortega.com.

I have met Ray during the podcast conferences, and I strongly suggest that you should subscribe to the Podcasters Roundtable discussion — and possibly, if you are interested in podcasting, you may want to be one of the podcasters that will be on roundtdable to share in the discussion of many podcast topics. If not, the discussion in this one-on-many panel or “round” may be very interesting to you about the themes that are covered.

Now in Northern California, Ray is one of the fortunate podcaster who is living his passion in his day job, as well as his hobby. And his hobby is now tending to back him into strengthening his position as a part-time small business into perhaps an entrepreneur full-time.
