114- Entrepreneurs can build systems for success — a checklist

Struggling Biz

In this episode of The Struggling Biz.com, we deliver a summary of free seminars for small businesses that deal with the creation of “packages” or deliverables for customers — and these are taught by Lisa R Wells on the internet. The title of these seminars that were scheduled in the year is: “3 Steps to creating your perfect package.”

Offered in April of 2021, this free 90-minute webinar also had a free pdf with a workbook for attendees.

The idea is to stop charging for the value you provide your clients by the hour. In fact, the pain points she discusses are:

  • “no longer work with clients charging by the hour and you want to make more money
  • work less and have more freedom and flexibility
  • start charging what you’re worth
  • get a shortcut on package preparation so that you can simplify your business and set it up for success
  • stop penalizing yourself for being fast”

And a free workshop that was delivered electronically had the following benefits for the audience:

  • “A better way to earn more money AND work less.
  • The EXACT steps I used to create my own packages and what I have taught hundreds of others to do for years.
  • How to create packages that will work for your business, even if your clients need a “Jane of all trades” who handles everything from a blog post to a telesummit schedule.
  • A completely new way of working with your clients in which they aren’t having to compute their return on investment AND you won’t be penalized for being fast.
  • How to create the long-term leverage and freedom in your business that you’ve been missing.”

Now, although this may be short notice, I would suggest that you download the free pdf (given as an incentive to attend the free workshops), I feel that Lisa probably will provide value for those small business owners that rely on hourly charges for their services — especially covered are those businesses that provide tasks as virtual assistants, etc.

The workshops currently are being offered on Wednesday and Thursday, 21 April 2021 and 22 April 2021. You can sign up at the web page of:

So, we hope that you can gain the benefit of some key ideas that Lisa will deliver to attendees of these free workshops. Even the items and issues mentioned in the free pdf may be providing value to you to consider these themes for your business planning now for your firm.

Now, a free deliverable that includes a checklist for small business owners to remind them of tasks that will help create benefits for your clients, Lisa has offered this other free pdf titled “Client Benefit List — 30 Benefits to get you started.”

You can download this checklist for free, and although some of the benefits listed may seem to be obvious, it is incredible how many of them are overlooked or taken for granted — and of course, this could leave out some positive benefits for your business with clients.

In summary, here are the 30 benefits, along with the logical reasoning for them:

“As soon as you link your services to the benefits your client will get, the more likely you’ll get hired. Too often a website will show just ‘features’ or a list of services – so what you want to do is show potential clients how your services and offers benefit them. Match each benefit and service carefully. . .
A benefit can be found by asking this question: “Will this one
thing improve the life, cost, health, or well-being of the client?” If the answer is yes, then you have a benefit that can be marketed to this someone who’s part of your target market. [By the way, the details have been removed, but are available in the original pdf]

1. Save money by paying a set amount to do certain tasks.
2. Save time by turning a task over to someone who can do it faster.
3. Less stress for you to worry about doing it yourself or finding time to fit it into your schedule.
4. Greater authority is achieved by having experts perform tasks.
5. Provide peace of mind by taking care of the details for you.
6. Keep them organized.
7. Avoid or reduce problems before they get out of hand by keeping in touch with what needs to be done.
8. Delete Repetitiveness.
9. A live person to communicate with your customers.
10. Help spread the word about their product or services by handling the marketing and publicity needs.
11. Make their presentations shine so they can capture their audience.

12. Making you look professional by keeping your communications looking professional through proofing, editing and writing your correspondence, transcripts, etc.
13. Save them space if they have a brick and mortar business because you work from home.
14. Keep things running smoothly by scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing your desk, etc.
15. Save them money since they only hire you to work on an “as needed basis.”
16. Allow them to relax and enjoy their next event while you take care of the planning process.
17. Keep their website updated and edited so they always have a professional portal for customers to land on.
18. Free their team’s time and resources by doing the research for them.
19. Convenience by saving them time.
20. Flexibility in getting the services they need for the stage they are at in their business.
21. Peace of mind that the work is high quality, will get done, and meets their needs.
22. Confidence in the quality of services from past clients.
23. Transformation of their time, business from an organized service provider.
24. Productive. They can work on the parts of their business they are good at while knowing the other stuff is getting done.
25. Keep you out of information overload by doing the research and giving the abridged version.
26. Confidentiality.
27. Help them get found by their customers without expensive advertising fees.
28. Available when they need it.
29. Increase profit.
30. Pain relief. “

As you can see, these tips mainly are for those who service clients directly (like Virtual Assistants, for instance). But they can apply to all clients when you are delivering a SERVICE of VALUE to the client.

We hope that you can put to use some of these reminders in this checklist to improve the service to your client and make you more successful.

Thank you for your attention.
