In this episode of The Struggling Biz, we ponder the question that many small business owners are struggling with at this time — whether or not to create a podcast show for your business to help meet your objectives.
You may want to consider these questions:
- Evaluate the value of podcasts for supporting your business objectives;
- Evaluate the need and payback for your business in a cost-benefit analysis;
- Decide how you will have a podcast involved in your business: build it yourself or have a services firm create and manage your podcast;
- Decide how to monitor the results of your podcast and track its success or lack of it during specific planned periods in the “testing” time line (e.g., will you track downloads, reviews, subscribers or followers and other feedback?); and
- How to build a plan for continuing the podcast and gaining success for your business objectives — or resort to your exit strategy plan for your podcast (in case it did not meet your planned objectives for your business).
-
If you are going to build your podcast and maintain it yourself, you need to decide on which tools for audio (or maybe including video) recording, publishing and tracking and reviewing will be used.
-
So we hope that you can having your own internal planning session that will decide if 2022 will be a year for you to start your own podcast to support your business. If you do decide to follow up with your own podcast show, we hope that you can find good vendors and service providers to help you in any stage of your podcast, so that your business can use this tool to become more successful.
- Thank you for your attention.
