In this episode, we give a situation that applies to all startups, small business owners and entrepreneurs. It deals with the titles that we give ourselves — especially on our business cards.
The issue really boils down to:
- Do you reach out and give a “solution provider” label that is just like everyone else’s? — especially when everyone else in your space in business seems to sound like the same with no real differentiation? or
- Do you actually describe your skills and tech capabilities on your title, even though pundits and mentors and everyone else may suggest that this is not the way to go?
As you will hear in this audio episode, I chose the latter — I was going to DO IT MY WAY.
And it was successful. And in this episode, you will hear how this can benefit an entrepreneur to gain business and increase the number of loyal customers.
Now, this is MY situation and case study. This audio episode is food for thought with actual experience that became successful for myself and my podcast business as a consultant.
However, it is up to you to decide if you will follow conventional wisdom (and possibly be like everyone else with little or no differentiation), or if you will describe yourself, your business and your VALUE by what you do and what you provide to your customers.
Only you can determine which is the best path for you to follow — either adhere to conventional wisdom or do it YOUR way.
